When we visit a tourist destination, exhibition, or when the festive season is around the corner or when there are sales, discounts, offers offered by your local supermarket, you always notice a booklet known as Brochure. Brochures are also known as Catalogue.
A catalog is a small colorful book that consists of pictures and information about products and services.
Brochures are one of the tools of traditional marketing, which is commonly used even today and are not something that will go out of trend anytime. When I say that a brochure is a creative guide, what I mean by it is that every brochure is unique from one another, and a lot of creativity is used in creating a brochure that enables people to obtain necessary information about the product or services.
Types of Brochures/Catalogues
There are various types that you can use for your business.
- Half Fold
It’s quite like booklets, it is very easy to make and consists mainly of two parts, a front and back part. All you must do is bend paper once into two parts. Make sure that the data inserted here is readable and has good quality images.
Instead of half fold, this one has a triple-fold brochure, this involves making two bends in the paper. Make sure that every bend is equal in length and size.
- Gate Fold
It is quite like a trifold however the only difference is that bends/panels in opposite directions, unlike the last case they were on opposite sides of the paper. It is meant to create a central piece or gate type opening to a brochure. Again, both the panels should be of equal parts. Here’s a recommendation this is suitable for single product presentations.
This brochure is Zig Zag form. It again, two bends and six equal parts. It is known for giving 3D effects.
- Double Gate Fold
All you must do is first make a gatefold after that bend the central part from doing that you will have three bends and 6 parts each. If you want, you can also make double bends on the central part depending on the size of paper used and makeup to eight sides.
- Accordion Fold
It is quite alike Z fold but has many more sections. The format is quite extravagant because all the parts are interconnected to one another.
- Double Parallel Fold
This may seem a little complicated but it’s easy to make. At first, you need to fold the paper into equal half. Then repeat the same thing again and make sure you’re in the same direction. Double Parallel folds are used as maps for amusement parks, museums, etc.
